Tamara (Tammy) Hale
President
Tamara has more than 35 years experience in nonprofit management. As the Executive Director of L3 she is responsible for the day to day operations of the organization, as well as guiding and supporting the Board in their long-range plans and objectives of L3. Prior to joining L3, Mrs. Hale was managing director of The First Tee Greater Austin, managing director of Austin Lyric Opera and vice president of member service and resource development at the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. Earlier in her career she was vice president for board and volunteer services at the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, assistant to the president at Robert Morris College and associate director of development at Carnegie Mellon University. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon, she is married to Don Hale. They live in Atlanta, Georgia and have two children.
Ashley Shearer
Director of Communications
Ashley coordinates all L3 communications. She produces the monthly newsletters, email communications, marketing materials, web content, edits the website and manages all other communication efforts. Ashley was born and raised in Austin, where she was a successful photographer for many years preceding her decision to pursue a career in Graphic and Web Design. She presently lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and daughter. She continues to dabble in photography, when she is not kept busy with all her other interests.
Karen Chisholm
Director of Operations
Karen is responsible for bookkeeping services for both L3 Foundation and the clients of L3’s It’s Done Services. She also provides research for travel plans, event planning, and operating system services.
A native of the Pittsburgh area, Karen earned her Bachelor of Biological Sciences from Lebanon Valley College, as well as a Secondary Education Certificate. For nine years she’s been an educator of homebound students and specializes in STEAM enrichment, which emphasizes content standards in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. She is married has two sons. In her free time, Karen enjoys playing golf.
Abbie Warner
Director of Events and Travel
Abbie was a franchisee systems support manager where she implemented training programs, fulfilled support requests for franchisees and was responsible for companywide event planning. Previously, she was the elementary ministry coordinator at The Fellowship Church in Round Rock, Texas. Abbie is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where she received her a bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in non-profit management. Abbie resides in Waco, Texas with her husband.
Katelyn Imler
Executive Assistant
Katelyn is a committed professional with ten years of customer service experience in the retail and restaurant sectors. Known for her strong organizational skills, Katelyn consistently provides exceptional service and cultivates positive relationships with members and colleagues. Whether it involves research or bookings, Katelyn is the go-to professional who helps us all get it done. She lives in the Atlanta area with her two sons.
Debbie Boughner
Client Accounts and Data Support
Debbie brings a rare blend of financial expertise and creative energy to her work supporting L3’s client accounts and data operations. A Pittsburgh native with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in finance, she spent nearly 20 years teaching high school math before transitioning her talent for clarity and problem‑solving into the world of client support. Debbie is also a gifted musician who teaches at the Pittsburgh CLO, adding yet another dimension to her multifaceted career. When she’s not keeping our systems running smoothly, she’s likely out on a hiking trail or exploring new destinations around the world. Debbie still lives in the Pittsburg area and has a son and golden retriever who she spends her free time with.
